USGBC Alabama Chapter's LEED Exam Prep Course Seeks Facilitators
The Alabama Chapter of the US Green Building Council seeks an instructor or team of instructors to design and carry out facilitated study groups to prepare for the LEED AP and LEED Green Associates exams. The instructor(s) should be LEED AP, with significant LEED project experience, and have teaching experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn new strategies and best practices from leaders insustainable residential construction in the Southeast including higher education researchers, corporate leaders, non-profit housing providersand production builders. Please note the date has changed on this class to February 19. It was previously to be given January 28.
The Auburn University Outreach Program Office in conjunction with the Alabama Chapter of USGBC will offer a LEED Green Associates Exam Prep Class on February 19, 2010. The 8 hour class is geared toward understanding the core concepts of LEED and preparing you for the new LEED Green Associate Exam and for part one of the new two part LEED AP exam. Participants will receive training on the concepts that are fundamental to the LEED Rating Systems and will learn successful green building strategies. The class is presented by Piedmont Green Building Solutions.

Welcome to the USGBC Alabama Chapter!
The U.S. Green Building Council Alabama Chapter was formed to advance and promote sustainable and environmentally responsible planning, design, construction and operation of the state’s buildings, landscapes, cities and communities.
The purpose of the Alabama Chapter is to:

Provide regularly scheduled opportunities for members to exchange information with other persons having similar interests;

Raise awareness of Green Building principles and practices among the design, construction and real estate communities as well as the general public;

Provide forums for the exchange of ideas;

Form partnerships with other local building-related and environmental organizations; and
-
Promote membership in the U S Green Building Council.
